Soprano Jennifer Farrell performs regularly in the fields of early music, opera, oratorio and art song. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Bachelor of Music program, and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts programs at the University of British Columbia, she has appeared from coast to coast with Canadian ensembles such as the Vancouver Symphony and Pacific Baroque Orchestra, to Symphony Nova Scotia and Opera Nova Scotia. She has also toured western Canada with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and eastern Canada with Jeunesses Musicales du Canada. Dr. Farrell is equally active as an adjudicator, examiner, lecturer and choral clinician. A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, in 2011 she completed the NATS Intern program, and in 2014 was awarded a NATS Independent Teacher Fellowship. Dr. Farrell has taught in university, college, community centre, and conservatory settings as well as on a private basis for over ten years. She is passionate about helping individuals develop and maintain a healthy and strong singing technique while connecting with their own unique artistry.
