Eli Aronson, tenor, is a freshmen student at Simpson College where he is majoring in Vocal Performance and minoring in German. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, he has performed with the MacPhail Center of Music, the Oratorio Society of Minnesota, and the Angelica Cantanti Singers. In 2017, the Hennepin Theatre Trust named him as a Triple-Threat Finalist, one of only twelve teenage men in the state of Minnesota. In the 2017-2018 season he was a Young Artist with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre and sang in the Chorus of Turandot and the role of Stuart Dalrymple in Brigadoon. This summer, he will be singing the roles of Snout in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Lucano/Soldato in L’incoronazione di Poppea with the Halifax Opera Festival. At Simpson College, he studies with Dr. Kimberly Roberts and was named the recipient of the Douglas Duncan Award.
