Hailing from Ottawa, Ontario, Thera Barclay is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree in Opera at the University of British Columbia. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards for her achievements in music, including the Lillian and Don Wright National Voice Travel and Study Scholarship, various prizes in the Kiwanis Music Festival and NATS Competition, and other scholarships and bursaries based on performance ability and academic achievement.

Thera has a variety of stage experience, with her repertoire including complete works such as Suor Angelica, L’elisir d’amore, Susannah, Gianni Schicchi, Giiwedin (an Indigenous, Canadian, contemporary work), and The Marriage of Figaro, along with a variety of operatic excerpts. Thera is dedicated to her craft, and she finds purpose in the powerful storytelling in the music and drama that bring such great meaning to our lives.
