HSOF is looking for a Student PR and Social Media Manager for the 2016 season.
This is being offered under the Canada Summer Jobs program for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
We’re looking for a smart, self-motivating person who enjoys working under stress to assist HSOF in promoting our current season of opera while it’s happening. At a minimum we’re looking for someone to write press releases, follow up with media outlets and handle social media postings – standard PR tasks. The ideal candidate would also produce audio and visual content for social media and the internet documenting the process of producing our operas. Creativity is a bonus!
Hours are very flexible. Some of the work will take place at the Dal Arts Centre where the Festival is based. Some work can be from home.
This position will pay $10.70 an hour for 30 hours a week for 7 weeks, from June 27 to August 15 2016 or June 30 to August 18.
