Olivia Charlebois-Brandvold

Olivia Charlebois-Brandvold, soprano, is delighted to join the HSOF this summer, taking part in her first Opera production. Currently living in Montreal, completing a BFA at Concordia University, in music with specialization in performance, Olivia divides her career focus between music and community involvement. With a considerable background working and volunteering in the non-profit sector, coupled with a first Bachelor’s degree in International Development and Globalization, she aspires to merge her two passions in a way that fosters a sense of support, working together and social networking within the arts community. She currently co-runs a music improv club based on the teachings of Music For People, an organization started by award winning cellist David Darling. The club’s mandate is to bring students from all faculties, as well as community members together who share a passion for music and creation. She has also taught workshops and classes based on similar practices to children of all ages.

Olivia has had the opportunity to work with such respected faculty as Amanda Brunk, Mario Baron and M.J. Johnson, studying cross-over technique at Wilfred Laurier University. She has also participated in jazz workshops taught by Lisa Martinelli and Shanon Gunn at Humber College in Toronto.  Olivia has performed in multiple venues in Ottawa, Montreal and surrounding areas in various bands and solo projects.

Olivia would like to thank her family and friends for their unconditional love and support.
