A:  I started my classical training with Dr. Insook Chung, at age 11, through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Today, I study under Peter Barnes, through the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music. I will be starting my third year of my undergraduate degree in vocal performance in September.

A:  I am so excited to dive into this, my first opera, and discover what my process looks like for me. I have had a lot of experience with approaching music in a classroom setting, and am grateful for every opportunity to come at it more organically, in a performance setting.

A:  “I had the chance to meet Angel Blue this year, while she was in Toronto for La Boheme. She sat down with a group of singers from U of T, and talked to us about resilience. It was striking to me, that such a successful and talented singer was so humble, and so transparent about some of her failures. I respect her so much. (Also, have you heard her sing Mimi?! Magic.)”
