Auditions in Halifax went really well yesterday, with Halifax’s longest audition panel hearing some really great people 🙂 HSOW’s auditions are now complete. We will finish reviewing our many, many distance applications and we’ll be letting people know results in the next couple of weeks.

We’re all looking forward to hearing auditions on Saturday in Halifax, our last round of in-person auditions. Distance applications continue to come in and we’re getting ready for making final decisions on casting.

This round of auditions is now over, and I’ll be heading home on Monday.  On behalf of HSOW, I’d like to thank every person who sang for me on this trip, and all the collaborative pianists who accompanied them.  I’m very grateful that so many talented, passionate and dedicated young people want to come and spend part of their summers with us out in Halifax, making opera.  I truly wish I had roles to offer all of you.  Casting decisions will be made by the middle of March in most cases, but if you need to know earlier, please email me and I’ll try to give you an answer sooner 🙂

Audition spots are totally booked for London, ON — Thursday February 10, 12 – 2 and for all times in Toronto on Saturday February 12. Still some times later in the day for London and for the evening of Friday Feb 11 in Toronto.

Or we could add you to the waiting list.
